There's this sweet lady that works the cash register downstairs in the cstore. So nice...and so loving...you can see it in her eyes. Hate doesn't seem to be manifested anywhere in her, and she's simply one of those great people that you don't find very often anymore.
Which was contrasted with all the college students, in constant battle with each other. Smiles are dead. Actually, no, they're only used for those awkward moments in the hall when the only thing to do is say 'hi' with a fake smile and walk on.
Last week I was sitting in a dark passage of the political science building, doing a little math homework and eating lunch. There, suddenly, was the guy with the orange cap...his silence was really appealing to me, and I hadn't seen him since last semester. The glances we exchanged were like some sort of understanding, something unspoken, ever. I caught him following my eyes in psychology last year a lot...it was interesting. Kinda funny, often. I miss those days. I sit down that hall once in awhile lately, hoping at least he might walk by again or even, by chance, sit down to talk. Not...likely. But it would be nice.
I need someone to talk to, with the same likenesses. I'm getting really, really bored.
